Switch# write erase
Switch# delete flash:vlan.dat
Switch# reload
Now the real easy way
hold the mode button for 10 seconds, the switch wipes all config clean.
So the “real easy way” requires me to get out of my chair, go to the server room, figure out where the switch in question is and THEN hold the mode button for 10 seconds?
The “easy way”, on the other hand, can be wrapped with the login information into an expect-script containing basic configurations .. and this can be executed from a number of nice locations.. I must be missing something..
