To write something has been really difficult these days since starting this blog. Ideas have crossed my mind on various topics. Topics such as gadgets to operating systems to anything down the line. But as I get into the writing part, that is getting points jotted down, it seems that I am left with only blank spaces and not paragraphs.
Then after quite a while I thought about writing, on writing itself.
Running a search on the net would reveal hundreds of links on writing your own blog or getting to write. They say write about what is passionate about what tickles you. I’d say write about what you think is worth to be written.
You may be in a totally different profession other than a techie, but your writing should not be confined to your profession, though your profession would be your passion. There may be a hundred topics to write about away from your professional thoughts.
Captivating your thoughts and points would work charm, but still the mind plays tricks on getting you lost, my thoughts just got lost and went on to read Google+. I read quite a bit online and on various topics, sports, politics, tech, cooking, almost anything that I come across.
It is never going to be houseful but a possible trickle of audience, if lucky as you write.
Make sure every posts does contain a picture. A picture defines what you want to convey, gives a painting to your posts. Consider the difference between a painted and unpainted room. Try and get an original image, if not credit the author. I have found it difficult to get an original image many times and search the internet for ideas on images. The image used on this post is the definition of the word “write”. It kind of gives the what this article is about in one shot.
When you sit down to write never consider the word count the article contains, its just a what you call a spoiler to your mind. You will try and indulge in keeping the words up to get your article longer and longer, but in short it is killing your audience by possibly repeating the same ideas, contexts in different paragraphs. In short your article would become a jungle.
Categorize and tag your articles properly. This helps in narrowing a particular article to a reader to a particular category or tag. It does help in SEO too.
Titles are of prime importance, set a title to tease your mind matter, change it as you go. At the end of your writing you would have a title that perfectly encapsulates the article.
Never hurry in getting an article done, unless the editor is breathing down your neck.
