This is something I came across a year or more ago. All ingredients to be taken on number of servings. I had about 8 servings so cooked accordingly.
Ingredients:
-Basmati Long Rice
-Chicken
-Onions – some to saute initially and some for paste
-Garlic (paste)
-Curd
-Oil
-Chilli Powder
-Garam Masala
-Nutmeg Powder
-Cardomon
-Blackpepper
-Bayleaf
-Cloves
The taste, I must say is unlike the normal biryani. It would be something like achari briyani.
Method:
Soak the rice in cold water for about 2 hours. In the 2 hours get the chicken ready, spices crushed, onions sliced etc. It would be easier if the chicken is boiled before hand.
Pour oil into the already heated vessel and put in the onions once the oil is heated. Saute the onions till caramel brown and then add bayleaf, garlic and onion paste and spices. You will notice the aroma of all spices in the kitchen.
Pour in the curd and add some nutmeg powder. Put in the chicken and let it mix in the masala. Now add the rice, and the chicken broth. Let it simmer in low heat. Keep a heavy object on the vessel lid to cook under pressure.
Sorry about the picture, thats the only one I have.
